They helped Leslie Knope win political office in the NBC television show, Parks and Recreation.
Now they’re going to see what they can do in a real eleection.
Actors Adam Scott and Rashida Jones, two stars from the aforementioned Parks and Recreation, are scheduled to be in Iowa this coming weekend to campaign for President Barack Obama according to a media release from the Obama campaign.
Although a full schedule of their visit has yet to be released, Scott and Jones will be in Iowa for both Saturday and Sunday, and will visit the University of Iowa, University of Northern Iowa, Iowa State University, and Drake University. No word on whether they will brave the hordes at the Iowa versus Iowa State game.
According to the release, Jones and Scott will speak with students about “key issues impacting young Americans like President Obama’s plan to make college more affordable, expanding access to quality health care and creating new job opportunities for graduates.”
